Play Klondike Solitaire for free online

Dive into a diverse collection of solitaire games, reimagined for the digital age.

Solitaire is a popular card game that involves playing with a single deck of cards. The goal is to move all the cards from the tableau, or face-down piles, to the foundation piles. Each foundation pile starts with an Ace and is built up in ascending order, by suit. Players must uncover face-down cards and move cards between piles according to specific rules. Solitaire offers a challenging and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels.

The name "Klondike" for this particular solitaire game is believed to be a reference to the Klondike Gold Rush in the late 19th century. During this time, miners often played solitaire to pass the time while waiting for their next opportunity to strike it rich. The game's popularity among miners in the Klondike region likely led to its association with the name.

Klondike Solitaire has one deck and in the Tableau there are seven piles of one to seven cards. There is a stock pile that releases a single card. There are four Foundation piles in the game.

Game objective

Klondike Solitaire is won when all cards have been successfully moved to the Foundation piles.

Klondike family card games are somewhat special among other solitaires in that nearly all deals are solvable. As in all solitaire games, the deal of cards in Klondike Solitaire is based on a shuffle, and sometimes the cards may be dealt in a way that makes the game unsolvable. Klondike Solitaire can be challenging, especially as you progress to higher levels. However, the game is easy to learn and with practice, you can develop the skills needed to win almost all deals.
