Hi there! I'm Evgeny Krapivin , the creator and maintainer of InSolitaire.com. I've been passionate about card games, especially solitaires, for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to solitaires (as well as checkers and chess) by my late grandfather in the mid-90s. I miss him.
This hobby was then long forgotten during my teenage and college years. And then the world faced the strongest pandemic in the last hundred years in 2019, and began to descend into chaos rather quickly. I started programming my first solitaire game (it's been rewritten dozens of times since then) as a way to cope with the anxiety and sense of doom that many people were experiencing at the time. I found that creating something positive and engaging, and even more so building on pleasant memories, was a great way to take my mind off my problems.
Since then, I've transformed this development into an educational hobby. I learnt a lot about web design, frontend programming and project management, and even more about solitaires and their history. I have also met and spoken to amazing people from all over the world who share my passion for card games.
My goal is to create the ultimate Solitaire experience and game encyclopedia. I want to offer a wide variety of Solitaire games, as well as detailed information about each game's rules and history. I also want to create a community where Solitaire players can connect with each other.
