How many decks are in play: A single standard 52-card deck is used.
Which card piles are involved: 13 piles are created, representing the hours on a clock, with the King pile in the center.
What the initial deal looks like: Cards are dealt face-down to each pile, with four cards per pile. Top card from the King pile is open.
Allowed moves:
‣ Cards can be moved between piles if they are face-up.
‣ Cards must be moved to their corresponding numbered "clock hour" pile.
‣ Kings must be placed onto King pile in the middle.
Also note:

The King pile is the central pile, and the King card must be placed there to complete the game. However, if four Kings are face-up before the game is complete, it's an automatic loss.
While there's no particular strategy, players can try to predict the success of the overall game by how many Kings have already been opened.
The probability of winning Clock Solitaire is quite low, approximately 7.6%. This is due to the random nature of the initial deal and the specific requirements for completing each pile.
