Game objective
Goal: All cards from all Tableau piles must be removed.
Game complexity: Easy
Odds of winning: High, more than half of 10 games
Game setup
How many decks are in play: A single standard 52-card deck is used.
Which card piles are involved: Seven Tableau columns, one Stock pile and one Waste pile.
What the initial deal looks like: Seven Tableau piles are dealt five cards each, which are initially open. The rest of the cards remain in Stock.
Gameplay
Allowed moves:
‣ Move a card from a Tableau to the Waste pile if it's one rank higher or lower than the top card on the Waste pile.
‣ Draw a card from the stock pile to the Waste pile.
Also note:
There is no redeal; once the stock pile is depleted, the game ends. You can undo all of your moves in this game. Autoplay is turned off for this game. Score for Golf Solitaire is a sum of seconds spent for a game and moves done during it.
