The game is won when all foundations are filled and no cards remain in the tableau.
The goal is to create sequences of cards from King to Ace in each tableau column. Once a sequence is complete, it's moved to one of the eight foundations.
Game complexity: Hard
Odds of winning: Very bad, barely 1 out of 10 games
Allowed moves:
‣ Tableau cards are dealt into ten columns, remaining cards are placed in a Stock pile
‣ completed card sequences are moved to eight Foundation piles
‣ players build sequences by placing cards in descending order of the same suit, from King to Ace, groups of cards can be moved together if they meet these conditions
‣ face-down cards are revealed when the top card is moved
‣ if no moves are possible, ten cards are drawn from the stock pile to the tableaus
Score for a Spider Solitaire 4 Suits is a sum of seconds spend for a game and moves done during it.
InSolitaire.com allows you to retract your last move with "Undo".
Don't forget to check your statistics – for that choose the Statistics item from the More menu in the top right corner.
Decks: Two decks are used. Of these, all cards are played.
Piles: Foundations are used to store completed sequences. Tableau columns is where cards are arranged and sequenced. Empty columns can be filled with any card. Stock releases undealt cards to foundation 5 times max.
Deal: Ten Tableau columns hold 54 cards (4 columns of 6 cards, 6 columns of 5 cards). There are eight empty Foundation piles in the beginning. The Stock contains the remaining 50 cards, which are dealt to Tableau at 10 cards for each hit, up to a maximum of 5 times.
Spider Solitaire 4 Suits is played with a single deck of 52 cards.
The increased number of suits in Spider Solitaire 4 Suits can make it more difficult to find sequences of cards, as there are more suits to consider. However, it can also provide more opportunities for moves, as there are more potential combinations.
While the core gameplay is similar, there are some strategic differences. In Spider 2 Suits, it's often easier to build sequences of cards, so players may focus on moving cards to the foundation piles as quickly as possible. In Spider Solitaire 4 Suits, players may need to be more patient and focus on creating opportunities to build sequences.
Classic Spider Solitaire is generally considered better suited for beginners due to the reduced number of suits and the increased ease of building sequences. However, with practice, players can become proficient at both Classic Spider, Spider 2 Suits and Spider Solitaire 4 Suits.
